I get a few emails a day from people and companies telling me they can "grow our business". (Not spam, these are actually companies that are fans of CD Baby and want to partner with us.) I also get many emails from companies offering a "solution" to a problem they think we have. (Software, marketing, accounting, advertising, blah blah blah.) It's hard to explain to people that "growing our business" is not my main concern. It's not even my second concern. It's down at the bottom of the list, on purpose, because I made a decision long ago that no matter what happens I need to make myself happy first, then others happy second, then money last. Money's never worth it if happiness doesn't come first.
