just curious about the ads I'm seeing on TV about Rhapsody
partnering with TiVo. Is this benefitting cdbaby artists who have
digital distribution and have songs with Rhapsody? Didn't know if
this was leading to even further promotion & sales for artists?

I would imagine that a streamed play is a streamed play, whether online in the traditional sense, or through proprietary hardware like a Tivo. And should pay accordingly. Sounds like it's a win-win for CDBaby folks.
I like my streaming royalties - they're actually surprisingly good for an obscure artist who doesn't tour. :)

As a music producer, I make alot of hip hop and r&b music instrumentals and I would hope that Tivo has a Jazz or hiphop instrumental channel that people can listen to and offer a platform where customers can give their feedbacks to the artists online.
