CD Baby artist Geoff Achison ends successful US/UK tour; gets TV finale feature
    posted by Nancy Lewis-Pegel on Thursday June 22 2006 @ 12:46PM PDT
Musician Announcement Decatur, GA -- June 21, 2006 -- A real coup on three continents for Aussie musician Geoff Achison this month.

He is a noted guitarist/singer/bandleader in the world roots music scene.

He's finished a successful five week US tour, ending with a full week in the UK with his "Souldiggers" band he has based in each country.

These dates were to promote his latest CD "Little Big Men," sold on CD Baby, to his fans in the northern hemisphere.

The US tour concentrated on the East Coast; 24 gigs at clubs and festivals and a guest guitar instructor weekend at Jorma Kaukonen's Fur Peace Ranch.

In the UK, he spent most of the time in London and toured eastward through Kent.

During this time, he missed a big moment in Australia.

In the beginning of June "Blue Heelers," a long running TV police drama series there, went off the air after a 12 year run.

For the grand finale episode they concluded with a video montage from the series - and the audio for this 5 minutes was Geoff Achison's classic "Kissing Angels!" This wasn't the first time Geoff's music has been heard on "Blue Heelers," but certainly the most prominent.

Geoff returns to gigging in Australia at the end of June and plans are underway to arrange more international tours.

Much more information is available at Geoff Achison's website, http://www.geoffachison.com
