| CD Baby sales doubling. Over $6 million paid to musicians. |

Every now and then I make a chart to SEE how we're doing. Man! I knew we were busy during Christmas but I didn't realize we were THAT busy!
As always since I started this thing almost 6 years ago, sales have been doubling every year. You can pick any month on the calendar and compare it with that same month, one year before, and it's always about double. (Usually a little under but it's easier to say "double" than "195%".)
I guess that kinda thing has to stop some day, but so far it's showing no signs of slowing.

Also we just hit the $6 million mark in payouts today. Over $6 million PAID TO MUSICIANS for CDs sold. (That's how we measure success here @ CD Baby : it's not about how much we bring in, it's about how much we paid out to musicians.)
Those of you who were around in the 70's can make a Steve Austin joke now. :-)

CD Baby is easy to use and customer-friendly. Current customers are likely to come back again and again. The site does not provide a panacea for the independent musician but it sure is a great tool for sales. The staff at CD Baby are to be congratulated on making such great progress over the last five years. Keep it up!!

When I first joined cdbaby I did so with the idea that even it would probably turn out to be just another blind alley. I can't remember a time I've been so pleased to be mistaken. The service you provide to independent artists is immense. And you do it in such a way that it feels like a community....Six million? Something tells me it's just the beginning.

Derek Congratulations on 6 million. What a milestone. Even if a person doesn't sell one cd on this site, the valuable information or even the chance for someone to notice your music is invaluable. I personally thank you from the bottom of my heart just for the chance to have my music heard. It is inspiring to learn of someone who is not selfish in this day and age.

Dude, some local distributor her in st. louis acted like he was going to be doing me a favor by distributing our new e.p., i called him an (expletive) and hung up the phone.With CD baby i'm selling music in f#*#$@!g SWITZERLAND!!
