| CD Baby has now paid $2 MILLION to musicians |

You may remember that in January this year, we passed the $1 million mark: over $1 million paid out to musicians for CDs sold.

Since I started CD Baby in early 1998, it took three and a half years to hit that $1 million mark.
Now, only 9 months later, we've just passed the $2 million mark: OVER $2 MILLION PAID TO ARTISTS FOR CDs SOLD!
This means we've sold as many CDs in the last 9 months as in the previous 3.5 years!
Maybe that would explain why we're dashing around like a bunch of caffeinated Chihuahuas. And we haven't even started that Christmas season yet. Yip yip yip!

this is great news i am sending my stuff too now.i hope cdbaby will be able to make something off my stuff even though it is international but then hip hop is hip hop .i am presently available on www.mp3.com/ALJ visit play and buy my songs if you dare to be unique.

I am new to CD baby. Really like what you have done and hope to add to both of our success. We have sold over 25,000 copies of our CDs since 1990. Most of these are direct at concerts but we hope to get a larger internet share. Peace.

Derek, We are so glad to be a part of your growth, especially as an ethnic folk music contributor! Since we joined CDBaby in September we have had sales virtually every week. Our sales on CDSt***t.com have only yielded ONE SALE and we have been with them 2 weeks LONGER than CDBaby!! We have decided to recall our CDs and abandon CDST***t.com and go with CDBaby.com exclusively. You guys are AWESOME!!!

I may only be a very small amount of 2 million paid, but can say that I'm very happy to have my CD on CD Baby. I had my CD online for a year (before signing up with you guys) and only sold a couple. I surpassed that the very first week! using your service.....great! Thanks so much. I only hope that you don't get too big for your britches and go the way of so many before you, selling-out and ruining a good (great) thing.
